Another Catch-Up Post...

the first week of may we had planned to do the tulip festival at thanksgiving point for family home evening, but unfortunately got rained out. so, we went a few days later and we're so glad we did. we hadn't gone since i was pregnant with brooklyn. but knowing how obsessed brooklyn is with any kind of flowers, we knew this would be right up her alley. she loved it, and kendall loved all the wide open space to run around!

it really is so beautiful and if you ever have the chance to go, do it!

the first friday in may was my youngest sister's birthday. my other sister decided to plan a surprise party for her at my house. so the whole family gathered in bountiful and we surprised her with a fun little family party!

we ate:

chips & salsa
green salad
fruit
chicken salad sandwiches on croissants
all kinds of drinks

and of course, cake!

blowing out 20 candles!

that sunday was mother's day. the women were spoiled at church during the third hour where we all got to meet together and be taught by our bishop. i got to sit with my friends and enjoy the lesson. afterward, they handed out delicious utah truffles. earlier in the week, i went with a bunch of friends to see the mother's day movie and i totally loved it! it got horrible ratings, but i really enjoyed it. laughed AND cried. it'd be totally worth red boxing!

after church we headed to my parents' for dinner, where the men did the dishes afterwards. big win!

it was a nice relaxing day spent with family and just the recharge i needed for the next week. tackling all the 'get ready for baby' tasks.

we've been getting in a lot of activities as just our family of four before baby comes. lots of snuggling one on one time with the girls.

breakfast out with daddy after my morning doctor appointments.

and trying to get these two ready for the idea of a new baby around the house.

this past weekend, james decided he wanted to have a little campout in the backyard with the girls. he built a fire and everything. they didn't sleep in a tent, but on a mattress under the stars. the girls loved it! they thought it was the greatest thing. unfortunately, by 3AM the air mattress had gone flat and they had to make the trek back into the house for the rest of the night. they already can't wait to do it again!
