my weekend started out thursday night with a little dance party down in provo, hosted by @freshlypicked and @thealison show. it was a riot. the theme was glam lumberjack and it really was a ton of fun. chels and i made the road trip together and met the rest of the brickyard buffalo ladies there. lots of dancing, sweating, and drinking diet coke. oh, and failed photo booths.
friday night we had a house full, which makes my heart happy. the other jruesch clan, my sister and her hubby, and his brother, filled our house and we loved it. we had a late night, but james made getting up worth it with a big crepe breakfast. tons of toppings included.
the rest of saturday was pretty uneventful. while j&j changed the brakes on my car (bless them!), brooklyn and i tried to stay entertained inside. the best we could. the picture below is brooklyn 'driving to grandma's house'. guess i didn't entertain very well.
she finally got to go to nursery after having a cold that lasted forever! here she is post-church in her post-church outfit (that she picked out all by herself) happy as a lark.
the weekend also brought the beginning of '12 days of Christmas'. I couldn't wait to get these bags up that my MIL made for me last year. brooklyn got to open three of them sunday evening, and she was beyond excited!
we're counting down the days until we get to celebrate our Savior's birth and be together with family. it truly is the best time of the year!
