We celebrated it by getting a shake (1/2 off at Sonic) or malt rather. Caramel for me + caramel & hot fudge for him. Brooklyn enjoyed tastes of both.
Then we ran errands and rented a flick.
But first, there were sparklers.
What better way to kick off the 'official first day of summer' than with sparklers? Ahh. Romantic I say.
(look at that little toe head. i think i have a blondie on my hands)
Brooklyn loved them. Too much. She wanted to grab right on and was not happy that we were keeping it at arms length away from her. She will be one happy girl when she's old enough to actually do the sparkling herself.
Oh my heavens. Summer has been so good to us already. So excited for the rest of it. But for now, I'm just enjoying every day. For instance, Brooklyn and I stayed in all day on Tuesday and just hung out together. No errands, no chores, and no interruptions. We ate popsicles, sipped lemonade, and listened to summer oldies. Just us enjoying the slow summer day. That's how summer should be. Slow. Nice, hot, and slow. And full of sparklers.
