sunday evening we celebrated brooklyn's third birthday with her favorite people. it was a hot mess outside, and we all seriously melted, but it was such an enjoyable evening. for dinner we served up a waffle bar, complete with cookie butter, and on the side we had chips & salsa, fruit, and cinnamon bears. we washed it all down with a slew of drinks. did i mention it was hot out?
she couldn't wait to tear into her gifts, and come on, what three year old doesn't? for months when i asked her what she wanted for her birthday she told the same three things every time: a pink crown, a pink dress, and a pink guitar. she got all three. she loved every present and has played with everything every day all day since sunday. she got spoiled.

after presents came brooklyn's other favorite part of a birthday and that's with a cake, candles, and "happy birthday to you". my MIL bought her a cute pink cake complete with tiara and wand. brooklyn loved it!
i seriously can't believe i have a three year old. i may or may not have choked up singing happy birthday to her. i just can't believe how the past three years have flown. she seems so grown up now. there are loads of things she can do all by herself, she talks up a storm, and has quite an attitude. oh but we love her so much. she is such a special little girl. my little girl who is not a baby anymore. i think three is going to be her most favorite year yet!
