carving pumpkins.

we didn't let having a sick baby interfere with our halloween festivities, aka carving pumpkins, but it was still sad that she couldn't enjoy it as much as she would have if she weren't sick. she kind of just wandered around and played with this and that and then half way through decided she needed her mom to hold her. i finished my pumpkin faster than you can say "boo!" and gave her the attention she needed. poor girl!

it WAS a beautiful autumn evening and james and i had fun carving and chatting together. we don't do if often enough. the chatting that is. the weather was warm enough that we were able to do everything outside, light our jack-o-lanterns, and take a walk before it got dark.
