conference was a little different as we watched all the sessions at home instead of with our extended families. the girls were mostly ok with it but definitely missed being with everyone. james and i both felt like it was a little more relaxing without traveling and being back and forth. conference was wonderful and so needed during this crazy pandemic!
we dyed our eggs after waiting in the wal-mart parking lot for our grocery pick up for just under two hours. the pandemic made that a really crazy time to pick up groceries. holy cow! but we survived by eating dinner in the van, and knowing we had fun plans back at home awaiting us. after we did eggs, we popped popcorn and watched trolls 2. the girls went to bed afterward very anxious for peter cottontail to visit that night.
that afternoon we ventured out to cross e ranch, who was doing a drive through deal where you could just look out your car windows at all the animals with a voiced over tour on the radio. my girls loved it!
we discovered these eggs from mrs cavanaughs this year and our easter baskets won't be without them in the years to come. james and i slowly ate this egg over the next week. so dang good!
even though we had church at home Easter sunday, i still had the girls dress up like i had planned all along. they looked so cute and it helped make it all feel more normal.
we did Easter dinner over skype with james' family, then relaxed the rest of the day. it really was so nice!
miss rosie slept most of the day and was such a little doll in her blue Easter dress.
