halloween 2019

we can't talk about halloween without some pictures from lagoon. we love lagoon at halloween time! my girls love the trick-or-treating and i love all of the decorations.

our first order of halloween business was the trunk-or-treat at the church. they loved seeing their friends and cousins and getting their candy stash started.

presenting:

maleficent, sleeping beauty, and flora the red fairy.

we carved pumpkins at nana and papa's the sunday before hallwoeen. the girls came up with their own designs for their pumpkins and loved digging out the guts, especially kendall.

one night for family night, we drove around to look at the halloween lights everywhere and then went home to read halloween books and play halloween bingo.

the morning of halloween is always the costume parade at the school. cute brooklyn actually stopped and smiled for us this year!

kendall had her parade in the afternoon and she loved getting to participate as a big kindergartener this year!

i got to help in kendall's class party too and i loved getting to spend time with her!

after school it was off to nana's to decorate sugar cookies. adi ate her weight in frosting and the older two loved getting as creative as they could with their cookies.

we had our traditional dinner of chili and bread, and then added an old favorite of green grapes, caramel and pecans!

it was freezing cold this year, so we bundled the trick-or-treaters up the best we could and headed off to fill their buckets!

first stop was nana and papa's where they got spoiled rotten and really could have been done for the night there. lucky girls!

we did a few houses around the neighborhood and then tried out a new subdivision this year. it was awesome and we were about the only trick-or-treaters there so the girls got extra!

after a couple hours we went home to warm up and the girls sorted and traded their candy.

we survived another halloween and hope we can keep it up for at least another oh... 8 years.
