ghoul-y

last night, i had a little 'ghouls' night out. chelsea, katie, and i met up at beyond spa in layton (GO THERE!) for a little halloween-ish pampering of sorts. oh heaven. it was heaven. katie's SIL owns the spa and definitely has the same creative brain that katie does. she thought of every detail, right down to the drinks and treats. we drank out of science like beakers. sliced apples in silver bowls tasted delish dipped in the ooey gooey caramel heated by tiny little candles. we went from room to room being pampered with foot soaks and pumpkin foot scrubs. not to mention, an amazing pumpkin chocolate chip cookie at the end. does that just sound perfect? well it was. the best part was chillin' with those two awesome ghouls who kept me laughing and definitely kept the conversation interesting. let's not go a whole year and a half without hanging out again... please!

(i totally forgot my camera and have NO evidence of this delightful evening documented. that means we HAVE to get together again soon and take LOTS of pictures.)

when i got home, i was greeted with a happy baby, tired husband, and an amazon box. the box contained something i've wanted for over a year and finally took the plunge to buy. that's right...

brooklyn was in love. i know the rules say that the kids can't touch the elf or he loses his magic, but i couldn't resist. she only held him once. he is now hidden away until he makes his appearance after thanksgiving. so exciting!!!!!!
