cramming!

we crammed a lotta summer in this past week! let's see if i can remember it all!

monday...

that night after a little FHE, chelsea and i kissed our babies good night and headed to a late night showing of the new mama mia. we had the whole theater to ourselves, a big bucket of popcorn, and licorice. it was really the best!

tuesday...

james took tuesday off so that we could have one last full family day of summer before school starts. he took the girls to the last movie of the summer while i went to the gym and my first pta meeting. the movie was paddington 2 and apparently adi did really well. my mother in law went and i have a sneaking suspicion it was because of her!

then we were off to a day at lagoon-a-beach and lagoon. adi was asleep before we even started. so she napped while the big girls rode some rides.

then we hit up the water stuff. my girls loved it! they did the little slides over and over and james and i took turns going on the big slides with brooklyn.

we ended the trip with more rides. this time james and i took turns on the big rides with brooklyn while the little two did smaller rides. it was not busy and so nice to just hop on a bunch of rides. when everyone was exhausted we called it quits and headed for home. cafe rio for dinner and i'm pretty sure we were all in bed by 9!

wednesday...

after tumbling, brooklyn, livi, and i headed for park city to do a little school clothes shopping. these two were so excited to shop together and loved getting to try on clothes and pose for me. it was too cute! they're growing up so fast!

but before we started, we fueled up with gas station treats.

the whole time we shopped they begged to go to claire's. i told them it would be our final stop of the trip but they still asked after we left every store. then when we finally got in there they were in heaven. brooklyn seriously couldn't even pick out earrings because she just couldn't take it all in. i remember feeling the same way!

that night, my sisters and i (plus chuck), and my parents worked in the lion's club booth at the little buckaroo rodeo. we did it last year, but had dev, so we missed him this year! it's a great way to spend time together and brush up on basic math! (wink face!)

thursday...

this was the day designated to getting some little projects done around the house. brooklyn cleaned and organized her room and it felt good to be productive. after dinner, james sent me on a target date alone, and he took the girls over to his parents' to watch a show. 

friday...

after the gym, and a few more chores, we picked up a pizza and headed for the splash pad. it was such a hot day and it felt so good! i thought it would be more busy than it was and grateful that it wasn't. the girls had so much fun running around with a couple other girls and naming all of the different sections of splash pad. i heard names like: mermaid cove, the laughing stock, cartwheel pass, etc. they had a great time!

that night, we settled the girls down with a babysitter and headed out for a date night! we ate in-n-out and it totally hit the spot! then we opted for a night at lagoon. it's so fun to go ride all the big rides and chat with each other while we're in line. i finally got to ride wicked for the first time and then we called it a night. raced home, put our babies to bed, and watched a movie. it was such a nice relaxing way to end our night. 

saturday...

we did yard work and a project inside and then took the girls to seven peaks. it's always nice having james go with us. he's way more fun than i am at water parks. they talked us into funnel fries and couldn't have been happier. we talked about how it would be one of our last times there this summer and it honestly made me so sad to think about how fast summer has gone! like where the heck did july even go?!
