adi's 3rd birthday!

adi jac! how are you 3?! she asked every day for a month if it was her birthday and when the day finally came, she could hardly stand it! her sisters were almost as excited...

last night as a 2 year old...

she wanted to go to lagoon first thing. she also requested cotton candy, which she happily shared with all of us.

all day she kept asking if it was still her birthday. she wanted to live up every second!

her next request was pizza pie cafe for pasta and pizza. all my girls love this place, and were so happy she chose it.

we took a break for naps and a little relaxing and then took her birthday cake (that she picked out) over to my in laws' to celebrate.

i seriously can't believe she's 3!

her nana and papa gave her the rapunzel dress of her dreams, plus all the accessories to go with it!

as we drove home, she said it had been the best birthday ever and asked what we were doing the next day for her birthday...

this girl is full of spunk and sass and more personality than her little body can hold. we love you to pieces adi jac and loved celebrating you all day!

Dearest Adalyn,

I'm so proud of the little woman you're becoming, even if I can contribute about 35% of the gray hairs I've grown in the past year to your willful personality, ðŸ˜‰. You and Kendall are a lot alike in that regard. You are very passionate and feel things deeply like I do and I think that's one of the reasons Heavenly Father sent you to us. I've made a lot of mistakes and I hope that I can you learn from those and be better for it.

You teach me too. You are such a sweetheart and lately have taken to randomly telling me "I love you Dad," and saying things like, "They're so Dang Cute!" about everything. It makes your Mom and I smile every time. This week, as you've been excited about your birthday, you said to me, "Dad, can we go to Lagoon today?" I said, "I'm sorry sweetheart, but Lagoon isn't open today, and it's raining, so the rides would be closed, even if it was open." Do you know what your response was? "We can just wear a jacket." Your Mom and I had a great laugh and thought "YOU'RE so dang cute!"

I hope that you have a wonderful birthday this year sweetheart and that you know how much you're loved. Not just by your Mother and me, but by all of your family, Nana & Papa, Grandma and Grandpa, your aunts, uncles, and cousins, and don't forget your Sisters! We truly do love you sweetheart and will be there for you no matter what!

It's so important to me that you know that I know that Christ lives and is our Redeemer. He loves you more than any of us! So much so that he chose to experience every pain, every sadness, every challenge, soreness, and obstacle that you've ever experience or ever will, just so that He could better love and support you throughout your life. He truly is the Light and Life of the world and the Only Way by which we can be forgiven and made whole. Peace comes from Him and through Him. I know that He restored His church in these latter days through His servant, the young Prophet, Joseph Smith. I know the Book of Mormon is true, and that it contains the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the glad tidings of great Joy that I pray every day that you'll come to know for yourself one day.

We are here for a purpose and we're here together to help each other. I promise I will do my very best to always be there for you sweetie, no matter what! You are going do amazing things and I have complete confidence in you and am excited for the mark you will make in this world. I love you, each of your beautiful sisters, your beautiful amazing Mother, and the baby on the way, with all the love I know how to give and to the very best of my ability right now, and that ability continues to grow.

You are beyond special and I Love You with all my Heart Adi Jac!

Love,
Daddy
