let's be honest, one of the best parts about easter is the tootsie roll eggs!
friday night, we gathered around the table to dye eggs. adi couldn't hardly stand to wait to get going! the older two loved it and loved getting creative with the colors they chose. james and i mostly supervised adi.
that night, peter cottontail came and left the girls some goodies.
i dressed them up in matching dresses and we headed off to the egg hunt at the tabernacle.
brooklyn scored big time: she found $5!
cousins!
my camera did something weird and this picture did not turn out. i was so sad!
james and the older girls went and waited in line for the breakfast and were nice enough to bring adi and i home plates.
that evening we headed over to my in laws' for their big egg hunt. each kid was assigned a color and they each had like 38 eggs to find. they loved it!
easter dresses might be my favorite tradition! there's something about matching dresses in fun pastel colors, white bows, and white shoes, that i just love so much! my mother in law bought their dresses from h&m and i love them!
we ended the day with dinner at my parents' and our annual egg roll down the hill. the rain almost stopped us, but we finished just in time!
mostly, i'm grateful for easter because i am extra grateful for my Savior and for the Atonement in my life, especially now as a mother. i am grateful to get to repent and start over. i make a lot of mistakes, especially as a mother, and i'm overwhelmed with gratitude that i can be better and be forgiven because of the sacrifice of my Savior. i love him and i know he knows and loves me.
