fall festival/fall break
brooklyn begged to go shopping to spend some of her money from her peaches and cream stand. i happily obliged and we headed to farmington station! she had her heart set on a black dress, but i told her she only had $13. well, as luck would have it, she found one for $13! she was so excited! she tried it on, paid for it, we grabbed a donut, and called our shopping a success!
our ward's fall festival was so fun! apples + carmel, chilis, pies, corn bread, popcorn, homemade root beer, and that cute ghost was set up with a movie behind it and the kids loved sitting back there with their popcorn.
trunk or treat
primary program
brooklyn and kendall did such a good job on their parts! grandpa jerre, nana and papa, and aunt tori were there to support them. brooklyn's part was: I can feel the spirit in my home when we have family scripture study and family prayer. We grow closer as a family and grow closer to our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. kendall's part was: I am a child of God and He has a gift for me.
carving pumpkins
it was finally time to carve our pumpkins! brooklyn basically carved her own this year, while kendall and adalyn were content to have papa and aunt tori carve theirs! they were too busy playing with cousins.
haunted tea party
the monday before halloween, the girls set up a haunted house/tea party in the front room. i got such a kick out of it and had a hard time keeping a straight face. brooklyn smeared makeup all over kendall's face to make her look like a scary witch!
lagoon
we made it to lagoon a couple more times before the season ended. one time with the whole ruesch crew and once for fhe. the girls never tired of it and loved trick-or-treating and riding rides!
and we topped it all off with a bunch of halloween books in my bed before bedtime. we have so many, and this year was the first year we didn't read all of them. i'm up to the challenge next year!
