Disneyland 2019

the night before disneyland... they had a VERY hard time falling asleep. luckily, nana came in and brought them to the window to watch fireworks. they fell fast asleep after that.

DAY 1: lots and lots of rain

but we came totally prepared with everything we needed to withstand the rain!

snow white was our first character experience, adalyn was so star struck and could hardly handle it!

then we ran into pluto and mickey...

our first ride of the day was pirates and we didn't even wait! rain can be a very good thing at disneyland if you're prepared!

then we were off to pooh corner and then to devour some beignets!

during a downpour, we hunkered down in the tiki room and the girls loved it!

next up: star tours and space mountain. both of which ended up being kendall's two favorite rides!

we walked right onto small world and adalyn was in heaven! she still talks about this ride and begs to back.

we did some other rides, ended with the matterhorn and settled in for the parade. it was such a good parade, filled with lots of princesses and mary poppins at the end. the girls were so excited to see her!

the next day was our rest day. the girls did some art projects, we ran to costco for more food, went swimming, and then to downtown disney for dinner.

we love earl of sandwiches! it's delicious and has a great atmosphere for outdoor dining. the girls loved the pizza bread!

DAY 2: sunny and so much fun!

we started in california adventure with ariel and the other little rides around there and worked our way back to cars land.

soarin over the world was our longest line. luckily, i had packed some little art things for the girls to do while they waited. it was a hit and made waiting in line not so bad!

then, we got a sweet tooth and james decided we needed a shake. the schmoozies oreo shake totally hit the spot!

one of my favorite treats of the trip was the churro toffee. so good!!!

lisa and i took the two youngest and brooklyn went with her dad and papa to go ride guardians of the galaxy. brave girl!

DAY 3: mostly sunny and a mad dash to get in all the good stuff!

my mother in law made these darling matching skirts and shirts for the girls and they looked so cute walking around in them all day.

it was fun to go so close to valentine's day because the decor was so fun and so cute!

i had to document all three girls eating uncrustables. they are so picky, this will never happen again!

we made sure to go to the royal hall so the girls could meet several princesses. adalyn was seriously in heaven and loved every second of this! this might have been her highlight!

while the guys took the girls over to pirate's lair on tom sawyer island, lisa and i went and ordered more beignets and hot cocoa. we couldn't only have beignets once!

we did thunder mountain railroad and then headed over to california adventure to end our trip.

we ran into donald and adalyn was, funny enough, super excited to meet him! we were all dying. look at that face!

we did ariel again and mater's junkyard jamboree and then sent the girls back to the hotel with gary and lisa.

james and i ended the trip on the incredicoaster and it did not disappoint. such a fun ride to end it all!

we really had such a fun time! and having my in laws there made it so much fun for the girls. even better, we would do rider switches, so brooklyn and kendall got to ride everything twice in a row. lucky girls! adalyn was content on all the little rides. they were all happy the whole time and we didn't have any meltdowns. thank goodness! on our drive back home, i asked the girls what their two favorite rides were and these were their answers:

brooklyn = space mountain & guardians of the galaxy
kendall = star tours & space mountain
adalyn = peter pan, and ariel, and small world ;)
