our valentine's day started out with a quick trip to the gym and then heading to the store for some last minute things for our dinner that night. kendall watched me decorate with so much anticipation and it made it so worth it!
i dropped the younger two off at my MIL's and then got to go help with brooklyn's class party. i'm so glad i was able to go and she kept telling me how much she loved having me there. i really hope that never changes!
once brooklyn got home from school, we played the waiting game. their nana and papa made the waiting a little more fun by doorbell ditching them with fun valentine's surprises. they loved it! and it saved me from impatient girls! james picked up our food at texas roadhouse and he was home pretty darn fast!
we dimmed the lights and dug in!
the girls spent most of dinner 'cheers'ing their goblets together.
after dinner we gave them their little valentine's goodies, including a swim suit. i started that tradition when brooklyn was tiny and it's always worked out to buy swim suits on sale to give them on valentine's day.
then it was jammies, and in bed to watch a movie for the girls and james and i stayed up and watched one of my all time favorites, the proposal. we laughed and laughed! but one of my favorite memories from that night happened about half way through our movie. i thought i could hear crying from the girls' bedroom so i told james to pause our movie and i ran to check on them. well, they weren't crying at all. they were belly laughing so hard! apparently, something on a barbie movie they were watching had them laughing over and over again. it made my mama heart just melt! brooklyn and kendall are pretty dang good friends for being three years apart. and moments like this make me the happiest mom in the world.
we deemed it another successful valentine's day and went to bed feeling so grateful for these three little ladies we're lucky to call ours!
